The Revolution is Only a T-shirt Away!
In the Gallery through the end of the year

The slogans and images of this amazing collection of t-shirts donated by community members document decades of social change movements. Special thanks to Uncle Ruthie, Andrew Tonkovich and Lisa Alvarez for making this show happen and to KPFK and Northern Sun T-Shirts.

A More Beautiful World Gallery at Arbeter Ring features periodic shows of artists whose themes, broadly conceived, are consistent with our concerns in the areas of Jewish culture and education, friendship, mutual aid, and the pursuit of social and economic justice

The gallery space at Arbeter Ring (Workmen's Circle) in the Pico-Robertson area of Los Angeles is available for rental on a month-to-month basis. Artists (or groups of artists), art dealers, or independent curators may rent either the full gallery (one 30’ wall, one 27’ wall and five smaller walls that can accommodate 1-4 works), or a half-gallery.

Current availability is:
December 2009, and most of 2010 ($550 month, $400 half gallery).

Rental includes gallery space, a four-hour block of time for a reception to be arranged, announcement on the Arbeter Ring website, and access to the building during off hours by appointment. An optional service is gallery processing of sales during artist’s absence. Artwork must be appropriate for multi-generational, family-oriented audiences.
