Sylvia Gavurin, long-time Los Angeles resident, enjoyed a long and distinguished artistic career. Over the years her work has been shown in numerous galleries and exhibitions, including A Shenere Velt Gallery in 2001-2002. Her work earned a number of awards and prizes. Some of her pieces are in the permanent collection of the Skirball Cultural Center. Sylvia passed away in 2002 at the age of 91.
