Single-Payer Healthcare Now!

Probably the largest single issue of critical import to Americans today is healthcare: Who gets it? Who pays for it? Who is left out?

Our Social Action Committee has been working on healthcare issues for the past several months. We are now part of a new entity called
ZAY GEZUNT: THE JEWISH COALITION FOR HEALTHCARE FOR ALL. 
It's comprised of activists from The Workmen's Circle, Progressive Jewish Alliance, The Sholem Community, Healthcare for All, The National Council of Jewish Women-Los Angeles, Jewish Labor Committee and other concerned individuals and groups. We held an Open Forum the evening of Thursday, March 18, with State Senator Sheila Kuehl, sponsor of Senate Bill 921, to present the healthcare solution to the wider Jewish community. Universal, single-payer, comprehensive healthcare is in every healthcare consumer's interest — and that means you!
